I’ve pondered over this page on and off for a good few hours now over the course of this weekend. Ands I’ve still come up with nothing. I know I shouldn’t say this, but I have nothing to say. How can a blogger not have anything to write?
Personally I go through phases with my blog, sometimes I love the writing and have a list as long as my arm of things I want get off my chest. Then I’ll spend a month trying to get blood from a stone. I guess thats the creative process for you though. I’m not a robot, and I’m definitely not even a writer, so it’s completely normal for me to be a little dry at times. But the main reason this blog started was for the imagery, the style diary and fashion photography aspect that is the heart of this website. So although I don’t currently have much to say, I have still got the goods in the form of this uh-mazing cobalt blue jumper, and I wouldn’t want to deprive you of that. I love creating imagery and editing my blog pics and pulling it all together, surely I’m not the only one who’s favourite part of blogging is the photography?
I am sure that the creative juices will start flowing again soon, perhaps I need to go on a little inspiration hunt, as when I do get into writing, I love it. I just find it really easy to fall off the wagon, and really bloody hard to climb back on. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about winter dips in motivation, and a lot of people in the blogger-sphere seem to be feeling a bit of a lull in motivation at the moment. The overwhelming nature of the pre-christmas period is upon us. There’s so much to do, and buy, and so many new clothes, and events, and fun to be had, how can we possibly sit down proactively and brainstorm post ideas?
This time of year however does lend itself to my favourite part of blogging (apart for the weather 75% of the time, I cannot tell you how many times I have had my ideas rained on, boohoo I know). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, autumn winter dressing is my absolute fave. And so my blog pics in the winter are so much more outfit driven than anything I can create in the summer, as I am most definitely not a tanned, beach bum, summer dream. So I’m continuing to shoot and edit my shots to bring at least my weekly post to this site, but I guess I can’t promise much else until I’ve had a lightbulb moment of literary inspiration. Finger crossed it’s soon.
