I’ve mentioned recently on Twitter that I’m desperate to try the Kylie Lip Kits. I’m sure you’re all aware of how difficult they are to get hold of, and so Ive taken it upon myself to find the perfect dupes.
First up is the Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. And seriously, it’s fab. I absolutely adore the LOOK of matte lips, but the feel and wearability, that’s a whole other ball game. I find them usually pretty poor and uncomfortable. If you feel the same, look no further than this beauty. No more dry crumbly matte lips! This lip cream feels full of moisture, but still dries to a pretty matte finish, there is a slight sheen, but that’s a price I’m happy to pay for the comfort and how long lasting it is. Usually I notice my Mac lipsticks wearing away after a few hours, especially if I’m eating and drinking, but this one is practically glued to the lip, even food and drink can’t tear it down.
I paired it with Mac’s ‘Nice and Spicy’ lip liner, but I could have done with a slightly darker one (which I don’t own 🙁) to be honest, but it did the job!
I picked this up in the shade ‘Soft-spoken’ which is a fairly dark brown tone nude, but there are quite a few gorgeous shades out there to try. The only place I’ve seen these is Boots and Selfridges. Not to fear though, they are really affordable, at £6.50 a pop! There is do more matte lip creams that are just £5.50, so no doubt that will be next up for my trial. Check out the pictures below to see the shade in action, so to speak, and let me know what you think. Also, please post in the comments below if you know of any other dupes for the Kylie Lip Kit as my lip game is on it’s way up (and I need your help!).
