Tea, cake and prosecco are three of my favourite things in life, so it’s no surprise that afternoon tea is one of the best things in the world to me. And so I have started a quest to try all the quirky and wonderful afternoon tea spots in Manchester, and back home, which is proving to be a pretty amazing journey so far. A journey filled with sweetness and fizz and happiness all round.
There are still many a place left on my ‘To Tea’ list, especially in Manchester, with the likes of Cloud 23 lurking in my neighbourhood. But first off I visited Havey Nichols Second Floor Restaurant, and boy was I impressed! You can see from my few piccies above that the presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful (it took serious strength to leave the food untouched long enough to take a picture, let alone four, so please appreciate them). It all tasted as divine as it looks too, of course the unlimited tea and the additional glass of fizz helped it go down very easily…
The whole experience was made even better by the chic and modern environment of the restaurant, looking out over a fabulous view of Exchange Square, great for a spot of people watching. If you’re ever looking for a place for a pretty special afternoon tea in Manchester, without too much of a hefty price tag, I would definitely recommend giving Harvey Nicks a thought. Let me know if any of you have been and what you thought? And if you have any recommendations PLEASE let me know, I’m obsessed!
