7 products for everyday natural makeup

everyday natural makeup products

As much as I love the idea of being glam, the truth is that 9 times out of 10, I am a 5 minute make up girl. I’m not a fan of having too much going on on my face, I like to keep my makeup super fresh and simple, so achieving the perfect everyday natural makeup look is my ultimate goal. When it comes to the products I reach for every morning, they have to be reliable to do the very necessary job of covering those spots and dark circles, giving me a healthy looking glow, and adding some colour to those very pale winter cheeks. I feel like I’m at a point where I keep on reaching for the exact same products day in day out, so I thought it would be nice to share my day in, day out capsule makeup bag for that everyday natural makeup look:

Loreal True Match tinted hyaluronic serum

I love this stuff so much. I use this as my base most days, it’s perfect for evening out and brightening my skin tone, and it doesn’t feel like make-up sitting on my skin, it feels like skincare and my skin drinks it right up. Well, it is skincare, as it is a serum packed with hyaluronic acid. It feels so light and nourishing, and a little bit goes a long way. I find it’s perfect for the winter months when our skin needs all of the hydration and brightening. The only downside I have found is the pipette application as it can get a bit messy of you’re not careful!

Collection lasting perfection concealer

This truly is the OG concealer, especially in the blogging world! I’ve used this for the best part of a decade, along with most other people I know at this point. It’s such a good value product, and does exactly what I need it to! I won’t ramble on about this as let’s face it, you probably already have it. And if you don’t.. try it!

Milk Makeup Bronzing Stick

A touch of bronzer across my cheek bones and on the edges of my hairline (Mary Phillips style- IYKYK) does wonders to making me look ever so slightly less pasty, and gives me the slight chiseling I need for glowy everyday natural makeup. And as I mentioned, I’m a quick and easy makeup gal, so I want to be reaching for the least amount of products possible, so a quick sweep of this into the crease of my eye socket using my ring finger and my eyeshadow is also done for the day. This pocket rocket of a product is well snd truly double purpose, and I am here for it. I picked this up in Sephora last year, and this is my reminder to myself to get a new one ordered as it his running low!

Eyebrow pencil

I flit between brands here to be honest, whatever looks good and is on offer when I run out! But it’s always in my routine in one form or another for sure, as I definitely need something to tempt my brows into some kind of suitable shape in the morning. I am desperate to try the NYX dupe of the Anastasia Beverly Hills one, have you tried that?

Tower 28 Cream Blush

This is another item I picked up in Sephora when I was in New York last year, and let me tell you, I am obsessed with it. I don’t often get obsessed, but I know I’m always going to need this in my life now. I’m a cream blush convert for sure. I find just and looks so much more natural and glowy than a powder blush, which I find can look quite flat and dull on my skin sometimes. This cream blush doubles up as a lip tint too so another versatile piece for the capsule makeup bag! I am keen to try the Rare Beauty liquid blush too as my TikTok is flooded with rave reviews about that, and it does look beautiful!

Sleek dark circle colour corrector

Now, this won’t be for everyone, but if you are like me and suffer from dark circles- no matter how much sleep I get or water I drink, they just won’t let up- then this product is for you. I apply a tiny amount of this to my under eye area before applying my concealer, and it just takes off that dark shadow and counteracts that pesky purple/ blue tint that can peek through the concealer sometimes. I also find my concealer stays put much better when I use this, which is great!

Recently I’ve been using the Rimmel London Wonder’ful Argan Oil mascara, which I’ve actually picked up a few times now and I really love for a light natural look. The brush is great for lash separation and lengthening, and key point being that it doesn’t get clumpy- which is what we all need from a day to day mascara! The Argan Oil in this really helps the lashes look healthy and natural and stops them looking dried out and clumpy which is my biggest pet peeve with a mascara. When it comes to mascaras I do flit between brands depending on what takes my fancy when I need a new one, but this is a good drug store one that I’d recommend.

And you know what, that really is my 7 product daily face… on a good day. But I’ll be real with you, some days I definitely need bit of extra coverage, specifically spot-coverage. And for that there is only one product I ever use, so here’s one most for luck…

Mac studio fix paint pot concealer

This is a genuine ride of die product for me. I think I picked it up for the first time in maybe 2013, and it’s the only concealer I’ve used on my blemishes ever since. One reason is the colour, it matches my skin tone perfectly, where a lot of concealers are too warm for me and my Irish pale skin tone, which only ends up drawing even more attention to them- not ideal! This concealer is high coverage and does exactly what I need it to do when I have something that needs covering up pronto. And bonus, one little pot of this concealer lasts so long! You will not regret buying this if you also suffer with blemishes from time to time, it has been a life saver for me over the years for sure.

And there we have my capsule makeup bag that I wear pretty much everyday! Let me know if you have any recommendations for great day to day products to achieve that perfect everyday natural makeup. I’d love to try some new ones out!
